The Rainforest Chalet Gallery

LINDSAY MUIR'S sculptures are created using unique ideas and techniques. The colours are underglazes which are applied to the finished clay pieces then kiln fired to 1100ºC. This creates a permanent vibrant finish which helps to bring the clay to life. His work has been used to illustrate the innovative children's picture book "Green Air" by Jill Morris and published by Greater Glider.

"The rainforest is a constant inspiration to me to create in clay what i see, hear, smell and feel in this special environment. I try to bring the clay to life by recreating the textures, colours and atmosphere of the forest and the creatures in it."
